About Meganisi.

Meganisi ( literally "big island") is a island and municipality immediately to the east-southeast of the island of Lefkada. The municipality includes the offshore islands of Skorpios and Sparti. Its total population was 1,041 at the 2011 census. Some researchers, including Wilhelm Dorpfeld estimate that Meganisi was the Homeric island of Krocylea, which was part of Odysseus' kingdom.

Vathi is the main harbour (one of the world's largest natural harbors) of the island of Meganisi on the Northeast coast. In a sheltered position at the end of an inlet, it has a few waterfront tavernas.

There are various walks and cycle rides around the Island varying from the good coast road connecting the villages of Katomeri, Vathi and Spartohori to a variety of footpaths and goat trails to more remote parts of the Island.
